Foucault's pendulum

By taking advantage of the invariance of the oscillation plane of the pendulum, Foucault demonstrated the rotation of the Earth in 1851. With very simple means this device allows to better understand the spectacular experiment (carried out in the Pantheon with a pendulum of 64 meters in length) performed by that distinguished French physicist.
