Cross vacuum tube set
Dating8 March 1940
The electrical discharge in the vacuum tubes assumes special shapes depending on the level of the gas pressure present inside. The so-called scale of Cross is a set of vacuum tubes (usually 6) at different pressure which highlight the most important phases of the behavior of the gases subjected to a voltage difference sufficiently high to produce the conduction into the gas.
