Electrodynamic rotary motion device
Dating1843 - 1844
The instrument is to be considered as the forefather of the modern direct current electric motor. The name of André-Marie Ampère (1775-1836) associated with the instrument is due to the fact that the French scientist studied the mutual action of electrical currents, observing attractions, repulsion and spinning movements.
